Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know about working with a mobile notary — no jargon, just clear answers.

General

A mobile notary is a commissioned notary public who travels to your location — whether that's your home, office, hospital, or a coffee shop — to notarize your documents. Instead of you having to find time to visit a bank or UPS Store, we come to you at a time and place that works for your schedule.

We're based in Colonial Heights, VA and serve a wide region including Petersburg, Hopewell, Chesterfield County, Richmond, Chester, Midlothian, Mechanicsville, and all points up to Short Pump. Not sure if you're in range? Just call or email — we'll let you know and can often accommodate.

Yes! We offer flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends to work around your busy life. Same-day and next-day appointments are often available. Contact us and we'll do our best to find a time that works.

Absolutely. Noha Sabry is a commissioned Virginia Notary Public, NNA-certified, and fully bonded and insured. We meet all Commonwealth of Virginia requirements for notarial acts, and our loan signing certifications mean your real estate and lending documents are handled with precision.

Appointments

The easiest way is to call or text (703) 387-8507, or send us an email at noha@nsnotaryllc.com. You can also use the contact form on our Contact page. Let us know what documents you need notarized, where you're located, and your preferred date and time — we'll confirm quickly.

We can often accommodate same-day requests depending on schedule availability. For loan signings, we prefer at least 24–48 hours of advance notice so we can review the document package. For general notarizations, even a few hours' notice is usually fine — just reach out and we'll make it work.

Please have the following ready when we arrive:

  • A valid, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, state ID, or military ID)
  • Your unsigned documents — do not sign them before the notary arrives, as the signature must be witnessed
  • Any witnesses required — for deeds, wills, or healthcare directives, check in advance whether your document requires witnesses
  • Payment — cash, Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp

Life happens — we understand. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. For general notarizations, we ask for at least 2 hours' notice. For loan signings, please notify us and the scheduling company as early as possible so we can help arrange coverage.

Documents & ID

Virginia law requires a government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include:

  • Driver's license or state-issued ID card
  • U.S. or foreign passport
  • Military ID
  • Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)

IDs must be current (not expired) and contain a photo and a signature. If you're unsure whether your ID qualifies, contact us in advance.

A notary public notarizes the signature on a document, not the content — so yes, we can notarize documents written in other languages. We do not provide translation services; if you need a certified translation, we can point you to trusted resources. The signer must understand what they are signing.

Virginia allows Remote Online Notarization (RON) for many document types. This lets signers complete notarizations via live video call from anywhere. Not all documents qualify — contact us to find out if your document is eligible for remote notarization.

Pricing & Payment

Fees depend on the type of service and travel distance. Virginia allows notaries to charge up to $5 per notarial act. Mobile notaries also charge a travel fee, which varies based on your location. Loan signings and complex document packages are priced separately. Contact us for a quick, no-obligation quote — we're always transparent about costs upfront.

We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, and CashApp for your convenience. Payment is due at the time of service. For loan signings coordinated through title or escrow companies, billing is handled according to the company's terms.

Loan Signings

A loan signing agent (LSA) is a notary public trained to handle real estate loan document packages. At your closing, the LSA guides you through the large stack of documents — explaining what each form is for, where to sign or initial, and ensuring everything is completed correctly before being returned to the lender or title company. NS Notary LLC is NNA-certified for loan signings.

Yes. We handle both refinance signings and purchase transaction closings. We work directly with title companies, escrow officers, and lenders to schedule appointments and ensure documents are returned on time. If you're a title company or lender looking for a reliable signing agent in the Colonial Heights / Richmond area, reach out to us.
